The Castle..
The Castle
A visit to the castle is like stepping back into the 1800’s. Nothing has changed since the day August Abrahamson died in May 1898. Maintenance and preservation has guaranteed that this unique environment from the late 19th century has been retained. Tea cups are still laid out in the red parlour and in the private rooms of the castle the beds are still made, waiting for their guests and former owner.
The castle has probably the most complete 19th century interior in the whole of Scandinavia. The styles of the time are represented in the over furnished rooms and an art collection that is regarded as one of the most brilliant examples of19th century painting in Scandinavia. Our guides will be happy to show you around and tell you the story of August Abrahamson and Nääs.
